Accident victim HIV+ after blood transfusion
My 19 year old daughter was a victim of a drunk driver. She was
on life support for a month, in the hospital for three months,
underwent five surgeries, and received 21 units of transfused
blood. Now, seven months after the accident, just when she
thought this nightmare was over, she has tested positive for HIV.
This isn't fair. She did not make choices that put her at risk
for HIV. Where can she find support for a young, heterosexual,
non-drug using female? Is there anyone else out there lik
