Hey, hey! I just wanted to share some good news. I got my second lab results back on Monday. Despite homelessness, stress, having to change doctors and a variety of other problems I won't bore you with, I had these changes since November:
Viral load went from 130,000+ to undetectable. CD4 went from 920 to (wow!) 1123. CD4% went from 44% to 49%.
I don't take care of myself at all, and my stress is through the roof. The one thing I have going for me? ADHERENCE. I take my pill every day without exception. OK, with one exception. I forgot it once, but I won't ever do that again.
I know I can never repeat these amazing gains, and I won't be disappointed if next time things aren't dramatic. I mean, how high can your CD4 count realistically go? But I don't have a lot to celebrate, and I'm going to celebrate this.
Here's hoping we all get good news from our doctors.
-------------------- I'm sorry. I can't hear you over this popcorn.
