The day I found out I am HIV positive is coming up in a few days. It will mark year one.
The year has been marked with eventful highs and lows. To be honest, I don't know how I should feel about it. I know I feel a little anxious. Which is silly in a way that a particular day is any more important than another. I feel like I have accomplished a lot in the last year and don't feel like any time was wasted, but I also can't help have a sense of dread towards the end of one year.
I imagine other people have rituals that fall on or around the time they learned whether conscious or not, I am just wondering what they may be. How do you all mark or don't mark the day?
I am thinking about doing something special just for me, to add a positive note to the day instead of marking the bad, or should I just treat it with the same regard I do any other day? Any thoughts?
