Well I’m going to firmly plant a boot on each stool here; because on the one hand I am going to say that I simply do not recognise Florida’s description of life on medications as being my own, or that of most people I know .. whilst on the other cautioning you to be sure that everything you are talking about really is HIV related, before you invest all your hopes in HIV drugs holding the answer.
I mean, if your numbers really are so good, is it impossible that there could be some other underlying cause that hasn’t been investigated?
If you really feel that the time is right, then there is certainly no denying the fact that there is now an almost unanimous consensus of medical opinion supporting much earlier commencement of treatment than was previously the case (precisely because so few people now experience truly life altering side-effects from medication). In the UK they are now talking openly about routinely starting treatment at CD4 counts of 450.
