This story hits very close to home. One thing is not addressed in anyone's threads is how this woman felt, betrayed lied to and now living with a deadly disease. While yes many people would judge her and say its her own fault. Sometimes someone is so in love and waits until she trusts this man and he tells her he will always protect her. So she does...she doesn't think about using protection because he is a good man and he loves her. Until one day he becomes very sick and the truth comes out, he is HIV + and now she is infected. She keeps her head up and believes that he still loves her, and they can take care of each other. Until one day he decides she's a liability to his career, his secret could be exposed and he throws her to the curb like a piece of used garbage.
Before you just assume that this guy did disclose his status and that the woman should have been more careful and she brought this on herself. Maybe instead of arguing with each other we should all be out making HIV a very regular discussion among people. Encourage others to be tested on a regular basis, encourage comprehensive sex education, and that this disease affects everyone.
