Increased allergies?
      04/13/00 11:07 AM

Hello . After a possible exposure I began to felt what I tought was a long lasting cold. 3 months after exposure I developed a terrible post nasal drip (with headaches and pain sometimes)that to date, almost 6 months still present. I went to a ENT specialist and got an analysis that says I have an allergyc cyst. To my knowledge I have never been allergic or at least havent never developed a post nasal drip before. I tested negative for sinusitis. I took an Elisa at 4.5 months and I was negative. The lab told me no further testing was needed. But I see many hiv infected people suffer from post nasal drip and also read medical studies that hiv infected people reports an increase in allergyes and extra production of mucus. I dont seem to have any other symptoms and dont have swollen nodes. My question is since i have never had this post nasal drip and allergyes do you think is because of hiv infection that soon and is a early sign of the infection even tough I tested negative at almost 4.5 months? I would really appreciate your kind answer on this topic please.
