I apologise if my story was interpreted as insensitive. I should clarify what I was attempting to say as it doesn’t appear to be easy to catch if you are a heterosexual male during a one night stand as opposed to any other gender or sexual orientation or if you are in a long-term relationship with an HIV positive partner.
This experience has changed the way I think about a lot of things but especially those living with HIV and the stigma still associated with the disease. So much so I intend to volunteer my time and money to some outreach programs in Latin America.
Obviously I am no saint but I feel that I have been given a second chance in life and I hope to use this chance in a more proactive manner than the last four years …….
