The lovely "freak out" window period - TheBody.com's Bulletin Boards

Let's see what you guys think! I'm sure Dr. Franscino is getting sick of my emails, but it helps me get thru each day.

Here are my facts:
Had unprotected oral sex with an escort and she kissed me as well (saw the dentist two days previous so possible sore/bleeding gums), which grosses me out just thinking about it now.

No problems at all for 6 wks til I went on vacation with my long distance girlfriend and she said she was feeling "weird" and did not feel well at all. I started to freak - could not sleep, eat, nausea, night sweats etc... Could have been just freaking out! I should also mention she spotted a reddish blotch on the inside of my lip a week after exposure, which I blew off as me having bit my lip.

So I return home and immediately make an appointment to get tested. I was negative at 50 days and again negative at 57 days, which I read is accurate 95% of the time.. I still have dry mouth, itching, prickley sensations, nausea, diarrhea, sore/stiff neck, sore lower back, low grade fevers/clamminess and now burning/strange sensations in my armpit glands. I also just spotted a rash on my upper back. These are all symptoms I am having at the 8/9 week mark.

I also arranged to see the escort again to ask her her status. She was emphatic that every time she returns home to Houston she gets tested for everything and she has tested negative twice since our encounter and has never had any symptoms or so she told me.

So, I wait, a wreck that I have ruined my life and worse I ruined the life of my girlfriend whom I planned to get engaged to in January. I can't bear the thought! I could be freaking out and looking for all the symptoms, which seems not that unusual or I could be right. What do you guys think? I talked to a nurse who works for a infectious disease specialist today and she basically told me I have next to nothing to worry about and she would not even let me make an appointment to get a pcr test done to calm me down at least.

Please help!
