I can relate totally to your feelings of it "falling apart." Unlike you I have been poz for 3 years (that I know of)2.5 yrs <50 with same range of CD4. However, I am lucky to take only 4 pills per day (Viramune & Combivir) and feel better than I ever have. From time to time the falling apart feeling hits me, but I keep on top of my labs and best resources, and discuss any issues frequently with my Dr.'s. I don't think there is a complete way around that feeling. Keeping busy really helps, am a full time college student, and it helps. Lost my job after 30 years in 2002. Hang in there and keep doing what you are doing....
At my quarterlies I continually ask about how long my current HAART regimen will last, and have been told that with my reaction thus far, outlook is excellent for beyond 5 years. If not then there are lot's of backups, but no guarantees! I (try to) live each day as it was my last and put my best into the world, but am not always successful, but that's life! Hope this helps.
