Lonely in NYC
      11/22/07 04:49 AM

Hi everybody,

I've been living in NYC for approximately 2 years and have accepted the fact that this place can be quite possibly the lonliest place on Earth, despite the fact that there are 12 million people living here.

I had a close knit group of friends when I entered the city but since then they have departed and gone their separate ways, mostly because they could not handle the temptations and crazyness of this city.

I am 28 years old, gay, single, white, drug-free, professional that has been HIV positive for almost 3 years. I am looking to connect with other people that are in the same boat as me.

Does anybody out there know of any good gay HIV support groups/socials in NYC? I really haven't the first clue on where to check and need some suggestions/information.

Sometimes I feel like I am the only positive gay man in NYC and often timesI don't know where to turn, I don't have any close friends here and I long to be surrounded by individuals that are similar to me, sharing the same struggle.

If anybody from NYC has some advice for me, I would be forever grateful.
