got herpes and HIV?

Ok so 7 weeks ago I had sex with a guy I met and he told me he doesnt have HIV. Well about 14 days later I noticed I got infected with herpes. This had to of been from him since I never had it before. I wasnt sure how I got it since we had protected sex. But I assume that because it is a skin to skin transmission I probably got it because of that. However about 3 weeks after the encounter I got a really bad "flu". no diarhea or swollen lymph nodes, but I had other symptoms. So I went and got tested the week after (week 4) and tested negative. I know that is kind of early to test but I felt ok afterwards. But now, week 7 I have been running a temp between 99.1-99.9 fahrenheit. Is that a concern? Once in a while I'll get slightly red at the face and neck. My lymph nodes aren't swollen and I have no other symptoms, but I still have myself convinced I got infected, even though I didnt have unprotected sex, I feel maybe the person I slept with maybe had hiv and didnt know it and that I got infected with herps and hiv at the same time.
please help.
