Ex- BF exposed intentionally

Hi everyone, I hope this is OK to post here...
I am a female, and my Ex BF (we are still friends) has told me that he intentionally exposed himself to HIV. He did this two months ago, and reality just hit and he tested today using the mail-in test.
is there anywhere I can enourage him to seek help, both physical and mental? Or should I just keep my mouth shut. I want to be a good friend, but I don't want to cross any lines, due to our history. he has been making poor choices all the way around lately, and I just feel really helpless, and I am scared to death for him.
