Yes, invest in those dental dams if you are into oral sex. My boyfriend did NOT want to use them and I could NOT make him, but he goes and get tested every 6 months. He is HIV negative. I was HIV+ my whole marriage and my ex husband was not and we had a great sex life, it just didn't spill over into our other married part of the life. It can work with a HIV negative person, if they are willing and accepting.

This is a tough situation, but work through it together. Although if your partner has tested clean right now....he should really get tested in another 4 months as it can take several months for the antibodies to show up in his system. You can lessen the risk of transferrance by taking a daily suppressive and using a condom - this combination reduces the risk to 2-3% per encounter I believe (google Valtrex for the statistics).

Alvano you seem to have received some older information. A negative at 3 months is conclusive. Also people test positive or negative. Not clean. Why? Because if someone tests positive for HIV then what are you saying? Think about it.
Valtrex is a Herpes medication and is not used in HIV therapy.
