Hi,,I have a question
      #268612 - 10/25/12 08:25 PM

Hi,
My "daughter" has AIDS. She has the advanced stage. The question I have is, she has had the "shakes" for 36 hours now. They seem to be getting worse. She contacted her doctor, and he said if they don't improve by tomorrow to go and see him. I am new to this disease, and know very little about it. Is the shaking and constant vomiting a normal side effect with the disease and her meds? Does anyone know if the shaking will go away. She is unable to eat or drink or walk for that matter because she is shaking so bad.
Thank you all for you help. Please forgive me, I am brand new to this forum.
Have a wonderful evening.

When in doubt go to the ER.

If its that serious take her. If you're comfortable with waiting till morning then wait. It could be a million things some serious some not so go by your gut.

She is only 19 and has had AIDS for 3 years. Her last tests showed that she is amenic as well. The doctor told her this pill combination is her last resort. She refuses to go to the doctor. She is in the military, and will only see civilian doctors regarding her status.

There is no one here that can do anything for her. If you feel that she needs to go to the emergency room take her. Otherwise wait till morning to see the dr you called. If she refuses to go that is her choice and again there is nothing anyone on here can do about it.

You're there, you're her father, tell her you will call her co if she doesn't go. I'm sure being in the military they already know. You have to make your own decisions as does she.

Writing to total strangers about what you should do isn't exactly taking control of the situation and handling it. So AGAIN if you feel it is a life threatening problem GO TO THE ER. Otherwise wait till morning and talk to her dr.
