Is This True?
      #243748 - 01/06/09 04:43 PM

Hello, Newbie here.
I was recently talking to a male (HIV-)friend of mine about the transmission of HIV/AIDS. He has a female friend in the nursing health field & she told him that there is more of a chance that the male would infect a female via ejaculation (force of the semen pushed into the vagina) than the female infecting the male. Is this true? I've never heard of such a thing & I've been HIV+ for twenty-one years.

there's more of a chance of the inserting partner infecting the person he's having sex with with, whether anal or vaginal, since the lining of the anus and vagina are thinner than the skin of the penis.During sex there can be some slight tearing of the lining due to friction,so yes,it is transmitted more from male to female(or other male) than from female to male

If HIV is not supposed to be an airborne infection, why did I just watch three people who live with an HIV+ person become infected without sharing toilet, razor, toothbrush, forks, spoons or even sleeping in the same room? I got news for you. The CDC has failed to warn people because of the the social problems it would cause. HIV IS AIRBORNE.

I'm thinking someones lying to you.First of all sharing toilets, forks, spoons and sleeping in the same room are not ways to spread HIV.If it was airborne or could be spread that easily everyone would be HIV+ by now.
They had to be either having unprotected sex or sharing needles with somebody who was positive to get it,maybe not the person in the house with them but somebody.

WTF airborne my ass... (unless someone sneezes on you with their blood, still that means "bodily fluids")
Coming from a HIV+ female... yes the chances of me infecting a MALE is smaller than MALE to FEMALE transmission, this is because semen carries more quantities of the virus than vaginal mucus, also its harder for the virus to swim up a male urethral, while semen stays inside the vagina for a much longer period of time. Of course, anal has a greater chance of transmission, male or female. And this is assuming that no one is bleeding or has any open cuts/sores.

Well force of semen has nothing to do with it. If male is infected then then female would also get infection whatever the case may be
