worried and feeling guilty
      #8012 - 08/06/00 02:24 AM

How difficult is the transmission of HIV through everyday living? With no sexual contact? I'm afraid I may have infected a family member... In the span of a month she has had two fevers, although both have gone away within one night, sore throat etc...

Your problem is that you are thinking the worst. This is normal for people who think they may be infected. But, how do you know you are? Go get a test and find out for sure. It will help ease your mind. Furthermore, if you didn't exchange blood or have sexual contact, there's nothing to worry about. I would suggest that you look up information of casual contact, you will see that it is NOT that easy to transmit. And, I don't even think you will even find that there has been a document case of transmission through casual contact. And, I don't think you will be the first.

Good luck.
