What are the chances of infection from a onetime female to male exposure? It is now 2 1/2 yrs later and I think I'm experiencing lipodystrophy. I read on the body that this is most often caused by HIV medications but I swear it is happening to me.

2 things, the statistics vary. It has to do with many things like an infected persons viral load and how much fluid did you come in contact with. Some studies have had it as high as 1-1500 and some at 1-200. It's also possible to get infected from 1 exposure. I'm sure you know that the only way to know is to get tested. Since you are 2 1/2 years after exposure, 1 test will tell the tale. Stop looking at odds and posts and take the test. Good Luck.

I agree!! Once your test is negative and you are negative after 2 over year is more than enough to conclude it.
