Itchy bumps-What are they

I have been getting these bumps in various areas some itch and some don't. They aren't necessarily clumped together. They sort of remind me of mosquito bites but they are not.
I also have some dry patches with tiny bumps.
Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Is it HIV related or just a regular problem? I do have AIDS.

Get a referral fron your hiv specialist to a dermatologist specializing in HIV...or ask your specialist.

I had a similar problem a few years ago. They looked like mosquito bites and itched like poison ivy. I went to the doctor and it was concluded that I was leaving my bedroom window open and bugs were comming in the house at night to get away from the cold night air.
I fumagated the house with a candle that you get at the hardware store and shut my window. The bites/rash went away in about 10 days.
I know that this may not have anything to do with you situation but I thought that I would tell you this just in case.

I also have the rash you describe, I went to the dermatoligist and it was determined to be "drug induced" The only thing that is helping me is oral prednisone

Angel,
Well I hope that predisona helps your rash. Not to scare you, but one other thing that I came across was non hodgkins lymphoma. It does describe your rash to a certain degree.
I know that this is probably not what you want to hear and I do not blame you for that. Personally, I would rather know early when it can be treated than comforted early and then diagnosed too late.
By no means am I saying that you have NHL. I am just trying to explain why I threw it out there in hopes that you would not be mad at me for doing so.

Thanks for the info. I will ask my doctor. I am feel the same way you do about knowing ahead of time..to prepare. Sometimes Doctors don't speak what they think for fear we will over react. I believe knowledge is power. And I appreciate your help and candor.

Angel,
I am glad that you are not scared. That seems to be the key. I am not at all saying that you have NHl, just that it may be something to look into. Its a long shot but an avenue that needs to be ruled out if you will.
Wish you well.

What is going to happen..is going to happen. I've learned, no amount of worrying is going to change anything. Just have to weigh the options and see what happens.
Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.

Angel,
You have such a great outlook and an unmatched will. You are a breath of fresh air to this board. Their are few like you!
I definately appreciate your posts because they are real and candid.
You will still survivve even though you have been diagnosed with aids.
I am on my way but not yet. My doctor has classified me as a carrier. Scary just the same.
I do like to contact people with situations like mine and seem to rise to the occasion like you have but I do ubderstand why you would be leary of that.
With that said, I do wish you well and please keep up the fight. You set examples for others.

I had similiar bumps prior to being found to be HIV+. Not to scare you, but you should have a HIV test done to insure that you do not have AIDS.
