I am a Black HIV+ lesbian looking to meet/chat with other HIV+ lesbians. I want to connect with other lesbians that understand what I am going through. Hi Rose,
I hope you find what you're looking for. Just out of curiousity, why are you only looking for HIV positive women? Are you not interested in HIV negative women?
Just curious. I don't search for "positive" or "negative" men... I just search for good men. Status isn't important to me. Character is. Take care.

That is so well said, Erika. I don't believe HIV status is truly important is you really care for someone. Too many people are terrified of HIV, and so was I, until I learned more about it. There are tons of couples out there 1 pos and 1 neg (don't know the word, sorry) and they are happy as can be. The negative partner is still negative and they play safe. Don't limit yourself because of HIV. Love yourself and allow yourself to love others.

"Sero-discordant" is the word you're looking for. :) 1 poz partner and one negative partner. There have been excellent studies done where the negative partners rarely or never contract the virus if condoms are used correctly and consistently.

Thank you for responding. I am a lesbian in my heart/mind/body and soul. I LOVE WOMEN and being in the company of women. I would feel more comfortable being with a HIV+ woman because I can be myself(sexualy). DO NOT GET ME WRONG...RELATIONSHIPS ARE NOT ABOUT THE SEX. i have been with a man that I told and he stayed around for 3 months. he could not deal with it and I worried about making him sick. Two people that are HIV+ understand each others need and what each other go through(meds,sickness,etc.). I do not hate men...I JUST LOVE WOMEN MORE!

Thank you for the feed back. I have been by way of those whom thought that they could handle being with someone that is HIV+ it is a shock and not what they thought it would be living with someone that is HIV+ . I am just getting older and I am tired of being by myself and going through the B.S. of the "ignorant ones". I am a lesbian and I love women...why should I stop. Just like it is my choice to love and sleep with another woman,it is also my choice to choose one that is HIV+. I would feel more comfortable. It has nothing to do with a low self-esteem or feeling sorry for myself. i have had enough of that! I am independant,goal oriented,a hard worker,loving/kind to others. I am opening my own business this year and I want a woman to share my joys with.
I thank you soo much for your advice(it show you care about others...you have a good heart and I THANK YOU SOO MUCH). This is just one of the decisions that I have made to make ME happy.

You are sweet...THANK YOU! I know you mean well,but I chose to be with someone that is HIV+. I do not really care for penetration(sorry,but we are adults. I don't mean to offend. I am a woman that speaks her mind/outspoken/strong willed).

To my beautiful, black, poz, lesbian friend:
Just so you know, none of us were questioning your decision to choose a woman over a man... (Trust me... there have been many times I have had it "up to here" with men! If I could be a lesbian, I would be!)
Parrothead and I were wondering why you were spcifically looking for poz women instead of neg women. But you've explained why. :) I would probably be more comfortable with a poz guy versus a negative guy... but for me, religion is the deal breaker. It's easier to find a negative Jewish guy who accepts my positive status than it is to find a positive guy who is straight AND Jewish!
