Dry skin and HIV?!??

Was just diagnosised. But am taking things with a positive outlook. Just wondered... female, 26 my skin has gotten SOOOOO dry and itchy, also have dandruff never has been this bad before. Summer heat, or something more? I haven't started any meds yet (still waiting for tests). Any advice on this, or is it just the heat...

Try using CETAPHIL CLEANSER, AND MOISTURIZING LOTION, IT WORKED WONDERS FOR ME. GOOD LUCK. YOU CAN USE THE
DUANE READE BRAND CLEANSER, IT'S HAS THE SAME INGREDIENTS AND IT'S ALOT CHEAPER AND HAS THE SAME EFFECT AND MAYBE EVEN BETTER. EVERYINE COMPLIMENTS ME ON MY SKIN NOW, I NOW MY ENTIRE FAMILY AND FRIENDS USING IT.

32 year old newly diagnosed. I'm sorry to hear about what you are going through. I was going through the same thing.
Dry, itchy skin (a big change)and psoriasis on my head. These were completely new to me. My MD said that as my cell counts improved and my viral load decreased they would go away, two months later I am happy to say they have!

how can you be positive?? I am convinced i have hiv and i am awaiting test results and i am devastated
