Hi.
I am a 28 year old woman, diagnosed 5 years ago. Haven't told too many people. Finding it hard to date and meet nice men. The men in the positive groups are pretty awful and dealing with HIV is hard enough. I know nothing about addiction, etc and all the positive men seem to be former addicts. Anyone out there found a good way to meet men???

The magazine Body positive in New York has a singles page for posting descriptions. I have known people who met guys this way. there's also an organization called guys and girls in ny and they have parties. Good luck!

Hi, Shelly and TAngel I'm in my 40's diagnosed about 6 years ago. tried to be honest with 3 men who were not positive. All tried to handle, but none could. I have never been sick feel and look great and miss the involvement with a good man. You are truly not alone. I myself don't know what to do. I even met one guy who was positive on the internet. He came in from florida we had a great time and then never called again. I've pretty much given up on relationships with men except as friends, but as I said I miss the intimacy. If anyone out there has any ideas I would appreciate it. thanks anonymous

We men have the same problem meeting women.But there is hope.I just keep trying and suggest that you do not give up.Good luck.I just keep believing that there is someone out there for everyone.Just imagine how nice we can make it when we do connect!
