MAC IV Therapy

I'm thinking of stopping IV therapy for MAC....can anyone tell me if they've done that...and if so.....did you feel better or worse without the meds? My CD4+ cell count is still below 50.....the meds make me feel so awful I have to wonder if the MAC could feel worse....any insight?

YOu can rebound. Just don't give up! It may be hard, but it's a chance to LIVE! Are you on antiretrovirals? MAC therapy won't get your t cells up.

I am on an antiretroviral program of 3 meds as well as the MAC therapy......my viral load is high and my CD4 cell count was below 100 when I began and has dropped below 50 since....I was underweight to begin with and weakened from that....I continue to lose weight despite efforts to maintain.....it's all a bit overwhelming....thank you for your kind words though....it helps to hear them.
