In my last Pap Smear I was found a candida infection and a CIN I . My boyfriend has been checking for every STD, and has always turned out negative ( we are together for two years and two months, and his last test for HIV and hepatitis, fungus and viral culture was in April ). He tested negative for HIV and for everything. How is it possible for me to have a CIN I and candida ? Can I relate it to HIV ? I am really worried. Sorry for my bad english.

I don't know what CIN is. Candida is Candidiasis, which is basically a fancy word for Yeast Infection. Yeast infections are comman in women. It's easy for the PH to be thrown off. This can cause an inbalance between good bateria and bad bateria. Many things can cause this. Wearing pants to tight in the crotch area, to taking antibiotics.
Yeast infections in and of themselves are not a sign of HIV. However, women with HIV are prone to more infections so several recurrent infections over a short period of time would be a cause to be tested for HIV.

Jackie, thanks a lot for your information. CIN is a dysplasia. My gyn told me that was low-grade, and could be linked to the candida inflamation. We ( my boyfriend and me ) have been monogamous for three years, and before being together we tested together for HIV and other STDs. Could we have a delayed seroconversion lasting more than 3 years ? I am really worried. Thanks Jackie, I admire your help.
