I am a 22 year survivor. I became postive after having a blood transfusion. There is a good quality of life after diagnosis if you take your meds on a schedule and don't skip any. I would like to chat with other women who are positive and if any are also long term survivors.

I'm a 50 year old woman, diagnosed with AIDS 4 years ago. You're right there is a good quality of life,I've been doing fine on my meds, considering the night I was admitted to the hosp 4 years ago my family was told it would be a miracle if I lived til morning.

I am 55 and was diagnosed just a year ago. I am doing well even though I have other co-morbidities (other medical problems). I have learned to cope and surround myself with people with great attitudes and who don't treat me any differently. I am happy to chat anytime..pleas email me anytime. I am friends with some of the woman I met on this site and it is awesome. (((: Bernie
