HIV+ dislcosure and the law...! - TheBody.com's Bulletin Boards

I had not read this site much lately but came across a comment by someone that "not every state makes it a crime too infect someone with HIV" and could not believe anyone would be so ill informed and or out right liar, since its true some states do not have HIV specific criminal statutes, but every state prosecutor can if he/she so chooses can charge under "felony attempted murder" which can carry up too life in prison.., much more than some mere HIV criminal statutes, but leaving the criminal nature of HIV out of if for a moment, every state has a health department capacity too intern/incarcerate anyone who is infected with a infectious disease indefinitely who refuses too not infect or endanger others with their illness, rarely used since usually the criminal statutes are used before that option occurs, but recently in arizona a man has been interned/incarcerated indefinitely for refusing too wear a mask in public too protect others from his incurable form of TB, so if one thinks no consequences exist just because some particular state they live in has no HIV criminal specific statute exists, they are either living in delusion or not informed, in fact some states are so strict, the mere non disclosure is a felony, no actual infection need occur or be proven, and for those who think they can hide behind the virus not being traceable wrong again, a recent case on court television a doctor injected his ex lover with HIV tainted blood, they tracked it via DNA too the man the doctor treated, and therefore believe it your HIV strain can be traced too you...! But then live in delusion and ignorance if you wish, but for me I truly believe knowledge is wealth and it saddens me when I read ignorant and out lies spread about the consequences of HIV and the law..!
