Any other females here become diagnosed as a teen?

How old are you now and how do you cope?
I was diagnosed at 17 from a then boyfriend (older) who became ill. I contracted when I was 16. I'm 29 now. Everyone says I'm doing well making it through my teens & twenties, but I think I just hid my pain well.

The same thing happen to me the only thing that was diffrent is that I was away at Job Corps.in Joliet IL. I just think that after a while that we accept what is going on in our lives and the fact that we have HIV is put on the back burner and other things in our lives take more prevelance over the HIV. you're doing just fine live your life and don't worry about what other people think of you. As a good friend of mine say's If they like you good and if they don't fuck them they are the one that missing out on all that you have to give the world. God Bless.
