PID and HIV

Have any of you had PID with your HIV? Were all of you hospitalized? I am thinking I might have one, but don't want to be in the hospital. Did you have to have surgery?

I haven't heard that you have to go to the hospital. As your HIV specialist. There are gynecologists who specialize in HIV and can help. Don't diagnose yourself. PID feels like so many other things.

I was diagnosed with HPV right after I found out I was HIV +. You need to go to your Gyno and get a pelvic exam. I have had several Pap smears (thin prep) and two Colposcopy's and just a few weeks ago had a Cold knife biopsy of my cervix....it came back negative for cancer. I don't think it is uncommon but left untreated could be serious..please go get checked..
