My tcells are 617 and my viral load is 198,000. My viral load in May 05 was 60,000. They think I have inflammation in my urine, white cells in it. My nausea besides happening with the HIV meds I am on could be related to my intestinal issues. Please tell me if anyone knows about my numbers what to be concerned about. Thanks much...

Are you seeing an HIV specialist? You need to take a resistance test . Do not go off your meds! But your viral load is high and one or more of your meds may not be working. Are you seeing a specialist?

I am seeing a specialist but they haven't changed my meds yet, currently on viramune and truvada. I also have encephalitis so maybe they are waiting to change them, I don't know. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.

You should ask them if they have done a resistance test. Or also known as a genotypre, and phenotype test. ?
It does sound as if something has stopped working, and this test will tell which test your virus is resistant to.
Please keep in touch with how you are.
love and prayers, debbie

Don't get alarmed. My tcells have been as high as 150,000 and now they are at about 20,000. I am not even on meds.

Are you sure you are seeing a specialist? Maybe you can go to someone listed here for a second opinion.
Check to see if they are listed here: http://www.aahivm.org/referral.html

I have to say, I dont find that website helpful already. I typed in to see what good specialists in my area, and it came up with ONE name. I live in boston and WORK for mass. general hospital in the ID unit, where some of the best specialists are, and none of them are listed.
