My dad got cut by a razor at the barber

I might sound a little paranoid now, but I am pretty worried. My dad went to get a hair cut recently and the barber was using a razor and accidently cut my dad. I am afraid that the barber used the same razor on a lot other people. Is it possible for my dad to have been infected?

Let's go over this. The razor supposedly did not have blood on it??? If it did have some blood on it, presumably it would be dried blood and then the risk would be hepatitis not HIV. HIV dies within seconds of exposure to air. And even that would be a rare transmission. HIV is really hard to get casually (you have to have insertive sex (ie intercourse) and it's easier for the receptive person to get it. You cannot get HIV from sharing glasses, coughing, sharing bathrooms, mosqitoes, etc. And there have been many many studies to prove this. So worry not! If your dad is really worried, he can get a hepatitis test! And if he keeps going to this sloppy barber he should bring his own razor! (then if the barber cuts him there is no risk of anythinG!)
