I am so grateful for people who take time to give us these resources. I am a HIV+ heterosexual woman & have been diagnosed since 1985. I lost my husband to AIDS in 1992. I am white, have a masters degree + advanced post grad work, I am 50 years old , a professional on disability retirement. Sometimes I feel like I have no real peer group. My loneliness has made me look for and find friends I never would have had otherwise. WE desperately need places to hook up with other HIV+ people with similar backgrounds. Anyone out there who can relate? kathyruiz@aol.com Reply

I also have been hiv+ since about 1985 and lost my boyfriend in 1992 to PCP. I am 38, heterosexual and white. I have just move to Florida from San Francisco and have not established a support network here. My best friend lives her and she knows and is wonderful, but it's not the same as talking to someone with the same issues. I can relate...so write soon. love, cindy "peteymax@aol.com"

i am a 36yro female business owner who had the rug pulled out from under her 3 yrs ago.
even though friends pretend to understand, they never will and i hope they never will. i family is not included in my status, as at present i dont feel that they need to know. it is extremly hard to deal the the status and maintain a normal, sane life. i will pray for for you as i hope u will for me.
