I got tested a couple of years ago and was neg. But my bf was a iv drug user before I ever met him and he had lots of gf that used drugs and cheated on him. I did not realize the extent of his use till his family informed me of it. I have not told him I am getting tested, as he is gone for work and will not be home for another 2 to 4 weeks. To complicate matters he has been cheating on me with a married woman he works with. We have not had sex since Dec when he left for work. So I know I have waited long enough. Well wish me luck and best wishes for everyone. BB

Hi, this is Staci . How did the results go? y OU KNOW, THERE are alot of different ways to interpret results, but if you have allready tested negative in the past, chances are that anouther test will be extremely helpful to you. my boyfriend who was also a drug user , had hiv... he has me five1/2 months pregnant, so as you can probabely guess that I was shocked when the baby doctor told me that I'm now positive. The good news is, there are great treatments out there for baby, and I. This isn't the terrible thing that it was 20 years ago before they found ouy new things about it. Just hang in there, all will be ok.. take care. If you need to talk, e mail me. stacisweetheart@yahoo.com

Hi , How are you girls doing? I know being tested can be a very scary thing. I dated a guy years ago who was heavy into iv drugs, and knew he was infected but didn't tell me. the 2 weeks that i waited was the worst in my life. you will never forget the ordeal of the waiting. I pray that your results are negative (becuase I wouldn't want to wish anyone this lifestyle), but I also pray that you find strenght from having to do this. And remember, no matter what the results show....it is an eye opener. it is not the end of the world. Staci, I also have an 8month old baby..and he is negative. this disease is now like diabetes, it can be controlled , as long as you are aware about it. Being tested can and will save your life.

Thank you both for your support, and everyone else who understands and has gone through or is going through this situation. I will find out the results on the 4th. I also had a complete pap done...can't spell all the names, but you know what I mean, every std known to man. I already have hpv and have that now for over 23 years. I do not try to think about what hiv results will be, but have to admit I am afraid.
