Wondered if anyone out there knew of an OB/GYN in the Nashville TN area that specializes in HIV + women. Have been having trouble with yeast infections (how I found out I was poz) and would like to see a female preferable with sympathy towards my situation. Can be anywhere in TN. I don't mind the drive. Thank you for any help! Hope everyone keeps well :0)

Call Nashville Cares at 1-800-845-4266 perhaps they know of a doctor--or call the largest hospital that you know of in Nashville (or the largest teaching hospital--ie one affiliated with a university) and ask for the head of infectious diseases and ask if they have anyone who specializes in women and HIV. You can also ask the women doctors at the Body your questions. Like Dr. Feinberg http://www.thebody.com/cgi/oiforum.html and there's another woman doctor who's nice: http://www.thebody.com/cgi/childans.html
Good luck! Sherry

Vanderbilt is excellent. Also Dr. Larry Arnold. He is in Nashville - 615-329-9842. If you have TennCare, you may need a referral from your primary care doctor. Call the number on the back of your insurance card to be sure.

The Comprehensive Care Center just opened a Women's Center in their clinic. I've been going to CCC for about 6 years. I'm also in the Nashville area - and would like to get to know other women who are positive. Please reply.
