Cost of Atripla in Thailand General information

I am currently receiving Atripla at a cost of $108.00 per month in Bangkok, Thailand. I have been positive for the last 6 years. The cost for me on Medicare in the USA would be $1200.00 per month. I make one trip each year and bring back to USA all necessary meds----No Problems

Interesting! Would you be able to share the gritty details of how to go about doing this? Can you carry a year's worth of pills across customs without hassle? What about generics, could you get Viraday?

just a guess but I suspect it is Viraday he is talking about, you can get it delivered to Thailand buying online for about that price - $600 for 6 months supply
I wish the OP would come back and explain a little more of the details, as far as I know you cannot buy Atripla at that price here in Thailand

I live in Thailand and you can buy the brand name Atripla for around US$90 for a month's supply (30 pills).
That price is from the Anonymous Clinic in Bangkok run by the Thai Red Cross. You do however need a prescription from a Thai doctor -- which you can get at one of the many private hospitals in Thailand. My ID doctor costs around $100 a visit and he gave me a 6 month prescription.
You can also get Atripla for a bit more at the same private hospital you see your doctor but it'll cost you like 50% more depending on the place.
You can also get your blood work done at the Anonymous Clinic for cheap.

Thx for getting back - that is very good news indeed
I have since confirmed and will be looking for alternatives to what I'm doing now
perhaps you could go into more detail about perscriptions etc and who you recommend as a competent doc -
