Complera, the new once-daily combo pill
      #256946 - 08/12/11 05:06 PM

new treatment option. here's what you need to know.
Complera (rilpivirine/tenofovir/FTC) is like Atripla (efavirenz/tenofovir/FTC) except it replaces the Sustiva (efavirenz, Stocrin) arm with Edurant (rilpivirine). it has to be taken with a meal. and it may be less likely to work in people who start HIV treatment with a viral load above 100,000. all in all, it's good news, but still waiting on that cure.
