Moving as much as you can. At least that is what I have found. Use a pool for low impact or walking on a flat surface. I had this problem when I first started out on Atripla, it took a bit to get rid of the feeling, but it did go away.

you can also try taking glucosamine. it's supposed to help joint health. and based on the answers from our experts, it doesn't interact with HIV meds.

My God, I though it was me having repeated bouts of the flu, or something worse, like lupus. I get sever joint aches once a month, and in every joint in my body, i.e. fingers, wrists, knees, shoulders, you name it. I've been taking Atripla since 10/06, never have missed a single dose, and these aches and pains started in '09. My doc never seems to have any clue why. Now it makes sense.

I have been taking Atripla for a few years now and my doctor prescribed Meloxican 7.5mg (genetic for Mobic) for my achy joints. So far it has worked for me but it has many warnings...see below
WARNING: This drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including meloxicam) may rarely increase the risk for blood clots, especially in people with heart/blood vessel disease. This can lead to an increased risk for heart attacks and strokes. This drug should not be used if you have recently had heart bypass surgery. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the benefits and risks of treatment, as well as other possible medication choices. If you notice any of the following rare but very serious side effects, stop taking meloxicam and seek immediate medical attention: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech.
USES: Meloxicam is used to treat arthritis. It reduces pain, swelling, and stiffness of the joints. Meloxicam is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
