I am confused taken meds

I was told that I have AIDS not HIV my mom asked the doctor!First starting me on 4 different types of antiviral meds. ended up in hospitail! I am and have been useing meth since I was 15 and I am biplor/mood disorder ! I am so scarec if I stop useing meth I will die alot sooner. When I dont have meth my body starts shutting down! I want to stop but am really scared! HELP

HIV is a virus that attacks the body's immune system. AIDS is th name for advanced HIV when the bodies immune system has been damaged to the point a person is vulnerable to potentially fatal opportunistic infections.
It is posible for people with an AIDS diagnosis to get their virus under control as antiretrovirals reduce the amount of virus in the body allowing the cd4 cells to recover. How much they recover depends on many factors.
One of the biggest obstacles to proper adherence to medication is problem drug use. You need to see someone about your drug use, it's as important as seein a doctor about your HIV.
