I've been on meds for exactly one week. So far I've had no major side effects, and am quite pleased. I'm on Truvada+Prezista+Norvir.
Today I went out to dinner and had a big meal at about 7:30. I take my meds at 9:00, and took them as scheduled. I then realized I didn't have any food in my house, so I had to go out and get something and ate it at 9:45.
I know the prezista+norvir should be taken with food to increase the amount in the blood. Am I ok because I wasn't on an empty stomach, and I had food about 45 minutes later or is it kind of a "you have to take it exactly at the same time kind of thing?"
Should I be worried? Or at least a lot more cautious about this in the future?

Hi,
I'm on the same combo as you and have also missed the odd food intake. It's probably ok to do this once in a while but you should aim to take the meds with food on each occasion.
As this combo is relatively new, there isn't a huge amount of data to support the absorption issues. I, and I'm sure you also, don't want to become part of the stats that provie regime failure due to poor absorption.
Enjoy th emeds - they are a good combo!
