Once HIV gets into the body, it passes instructions into T helper cells on how to make more HIV. These instructions are known as "provirus". Later on the infected T helper cell turns into a factory that can make HIV. My questions are: 1. "how to know the presence of this provirus in the body" ? 2. If somehow hiv and proviruses are eliminated- what are the deciding diagnostic tests to confirm a cure?
best wishes

Your best bet would be to get in touch with the Dr. in Germany that did the bone marrow transplant that cleared the virus from the patients system. Although even after a year of testing, I'm not sure they have decided 100% that the HIV is gone. Of course, his work is along the lines of gene therapy, not diet.
