FYI: Sustiva in Atripla. . .

I am not a doctor BUT i do PLENTY of research on certain meds as I have been taking meds for over 10 years. Atripla is very potent in fighting HIV virus HOWEVER. . .it contains Sustiva which in quite a few recent studies in Europe, Canada and now the US, Sustivas massive accumulation in the fat cells is greater then that in the blood stream which gives it a high risk for lipoatrophy. Studies have shown that no matter what the combination is with Sustiva, it is a high risk. . . . and was not a coinscidence. Do your research and make your doctor do his/her research. Atripla may be convenient for just a one-a-day piill. . . but may not be worth the toxicity. Also, Atipla has to be taken on an empty stomach AND it also can give you weird dreams. Personally, i felt worn out being on it and am very glad to be off it and any trace of sustiva. There are plenty of NEW, less toxic medications out there. . .CHECK INTO IT. The study was discussed at the 2007 CROI conference in LA.
