It is not a death sentance. There are many patients over the years at our clinic who have been diagnosed w/ PML. and they are progressively getting better. With proper treatment and following the plan, things will get better for you also. Do you see a neurologist? I know most time things seem slow going, but it can be improved.
much love and prayers, debbie

Ignore what you read about PML being a death sentence. It is true that there is no specific treatment for it other than going on HAART and improving the immune system, but as long as that is initiated, there's no reason it can' t be overcome.
It is, however, rather fast acting...so getting on HAART pronto is EXTREMELY important.

Thanks for the input Deb. Yes I have one of the best neurologist in that field. He has been a great help. My hand are slowly getting better and my CD4 is on the rise. I was concerned when I read that PML caused death among many patients.
