Personal opinion about HAART Treatment

Hi,
I was recently infected and I was wondering for people that have been using HAART, What is your personal opinion about the treatment? How long do you think that we will have to use it? Please, let me know.

HAART is better than a lit cigar up your nose, but not by much; however, it is much better to live with HAART than die quickly from untreated AIDS. How long will we take them? Who knows, someone could have a cure in their laboratories right now. Germs have changed the course of history, in future how will scholars say HIV changed history?
