Immune System Booster
      #111585 - 09/15/04 07:23 PM

Hi,

I do not have hiv or aids but a good friend of mine passed away a few years ago from it. I

live in Arizona. I was wondering if anybody has heard about mangosteen juice a new

product that is doing amazing things as an Immune System Booster. I also believe

that this product can help many many people.

This is what has been written by Dr. Sam Walters who has more than 30 years as a

Naturopathic doctor in addition to his medical degree, Dr Walters holds a Master of

Science in Biology with an emphasis in Clinical Nutrition and a Bachelors Degree in

Bio-Nutrition. He is an accomplished author and has hosted a weekly television

program and a national radio program on health issues.

What's so important about the fruit mangosteen is the Xanthones that are found in

it. Xanthones are the strongest antioxidant known to man and the mangosteen fruit

has over 40 itself in it and there are only 200 known to man.

Dr. Walter wrote that Xanthones are anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory,

ant-hepotoxic (prevent liver poisoining). In addition, they are known in science to

be some of the most important antioxidants found in nature.

In the 1980s, research reported the natural ability the xanthones in mangosteen had

to slow down and even stop the growth of dangerous microorganisms. This line of

research has continued into the 1990s and in the 2000s. The xanthones in mangosteen

have been shown to inhibit both bacteria (including strains of the staphylococcus

bacteria that were antibiotic resistant)and viruses (such as HIV-1). In two

separate studies, researchers proved that the xanthones in mangosteen prevented the

growth of as many as six other different dangerous fungi.

You can also go to www.pubmed.com (The Nat’l Library of Medicine Search
Engine) Type in “Xanthones” or "Mangosteen" in the search box.

If anybody would like more information about mangosteen please feel free to contact

me anytime.
