Well I took an HIV test today and I know its going to come back postive because my boyfriend of 3 years is also postive.
I'm just trying to deal with this news, the nurse will call Friday with the results amd i will come back to post.

i was w someone who was hiv positive. i get my results this coming monday so we'll do this together. i can honestly say i know exactly how you feel. i can't seem to think about anything else but i have found this site to be supportive and kind and feel better for having found it. i wish you the best and know it's not a done deal yet so my thoughts and prayers will be with you. good luck.

I understand your concern, but don't jump to any conclusions. My boyfriend is - and we've been together for over 1 1/2 years now..
its possible for one person to remain negative, even after years of exposure.
Try to relax and calm down..there's nothing you can do to change things, regardless of the result..but jumping to a conclusion..one way or the other..is just going to mess you up emotionally.

whats up, i just found out about my status 2 months ago, it was the hardest thing i have ever done in my life and im just glade i found out. if you are positive i hope not but trust me everyday it gets gonna get a little better to handle. read read read inform yourself this is not a death sentence anymore doctors are now saying its a cronic illness so keep your head up javier

i have the test done in another 1.5 hours at 5:00 boston time. i'm at work and so stressed out. i'll do a post this evening and let you know and thank you for asking. that was nice of you to do.

I just sat there as I was waiting for the results. I did the rapid test and the guy who did it I swear is an angel. I was so tired I just wanted it to be over with. The test came back negative. It's at six week and I still need another one at 3 months so I'm not out of this yet. I think I'm about 80 to 90% there so that's a good sign. I want to stay in touch and hope you trust me enough to share your results. I hope and pray the news is good.

Mass. has a 6 week window. Go ahead and Woo Hoo.
For the rest of the world a 6 week test is 99% accurate.

thank you for your response. i've been thinking about this so much i don't think it has sunk in yet. i feel a little guilty for feeling good. i now need to take steps to make sure i don't go through something like this again. i aso want to stick around and help. thinking about logging in on saturdays and trying to keep people who are waiting for their results calm.

I said in an earlier post I would be here to help out so I've been logging in an checking the site for an update. Call your doctor and have them tell you when the result will be ready. I work in a clinic and things sometimes get put aside by accident. Don't read anything into this and you are going to be fine.
