I know that I am not supposed to post here because I have not yet been diagnosed with HIV , I am still in the waiting phase it has been about 7 and a half weeks since I was raped. I am still healing and mentally I just don't know. I do have a prominent concern however I have been experiencing a low grade fever for a month straight about 99.4 never higher than that but is this something anyone can remeber happening to them prior to diagnosis or early on in the hiv infection? please help

Lynn..
Many of us have wrote you on the AM I boards.. Take that for what you will. As far as your questions of perhaps your fevor is a sign of conversion? Sure, its possible, its also possible your body is suffering from a stress reaction to the experience you have had to go thru. Let me tell you this.. The Psychological games your mind is playing with you is certainly intense and not knowing what your status is, is another. What I recomend is caution. You are taking care of business. You have or will test at 6 or 7 weeks. We here recomend you test conclusively at 13. Until then, you need to relax and wait knowing full well you are doing everything within your power to get the answers. Unfortunatly, you cannot manipulate time. For this, you must have patience.. I hope you are being counceled on the rape issue..

I am sure others will chime in here...

All my Best,

Please relax and let the mind & body heal.

Eric

The Dr. is giving you sound advice, possibly a little on the cautious side but I would rather be more cautious testing at those points couldn't hurt at all.
