Staying Alive, MTV's HIV/AIDS global awareness campaign is looking for names of young people up to the age of 25 whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS - or who have made an impact in the world of HIV/AIDS themselves - for an exciting new TV programme to be broadcast on World Aids Day this December.
This unique programme will be made up of a list of names of young people from all over the globe who deserve to be acknowledged and honoured for their involvement in the world of HIV/AIDS.
Are you aged up to 25 and do any of the following apply to you:
- Are you HIV positive?
- Do you have a close family member, friend or partner who is HIV positive or who has died from HIV/AIDS?
- Do you help others with HIV/AIDS or work to increase awareness about the disease?
- Have you suffered from discrimination due to HIV/AIDS or do you work to reduce discrimination about this disease?
- Or perhaps you know a young person who has died from HIV/AIDS or whose life has been touched in some way by HIV/AIDS?
If you'd like your name to be included on this list, or you'd like to put a young person's name forward, please send us the following information for each person (there is no limit to the amount of names you can put forward):
1. Name 2. Age 3. Nationality 4. Brief description of why name should be on list 5. Contact details of person nominated (we will need written permission from each person).
Please send this information to stayingalive@mtvne.com, no later than Weds 22 October 2003.
