HERE IS CLEAR PROOF THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF HIV PEOPLE NEVER GET SICK OR DIE.

California population according to 2000 census: 33871648

Number of people in California with AIDS according to the CDC: 1 in 200

0.5% (1 in 200) of 33871648 = 169358

AIDS deaths in 2000 according the Calif. Dept. of Health: 586.

169,358 (HIV positive people in Calif.) divided by 586 (the annual mortality rate) results in 289 (the number of year it will take for all the people with AIDS to die).

Two hundred and eighty nine years means that only about 14% of HIV positive peole in California will EVER die of AIDS.

FOURTEEN PERCENT NOT 100%

(After adjusting for the declining mortality rate, accidental deaths, other diseases etc., over a fourty year period, that figures drops to between 6% and 9%).

FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE AIDS IS NOT A KILLER.

This is probably the only fact that AIDSrc.Com has even been close to getting right, but like all your facts you mess it up and twist it to suit your purposes.

AIDS is not a killer for anyone. Let me repeat differently. NO ONE has ever died of AIDS.

People with AIDS have imune systems that are not able to fight against Opportunistinic infections. Because their bodies can't defend against these infections they DIE. That's what AIDS stands for Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome. Someone who is in the final stages of AIDS does not even have the ability to survive the common cold, the flu, let alone some of the more nasty infections that are out there.

wrong!! AIDS is a killer many people dies of it. if you treat it you may live a little longer. but AIDS causes many cancers and diseases. so the other post by the person they dont know what they r talking about.
