I am the mother of a 19 yr old son who was just recently diagnosed with this dreadful disease. I am arming myself with lots and lots of information but sometimes, i get so angry with the cards life has dealt my son and he seesm to take it all in stride! I am also pissed because he is acting as though he doesnt have a care in the world and says that we all have to go sometime ma, i cant keep crying about it! Although, I know he is right...he has done nothing to process this horrific news! He cried when he first heard about, and then again when he realized what his viral load and tcell count(low) but he is still acting as though, nothing is wrong! I am angry at him for still engaging in sexual activities, without telling the other person that he is infected, even though he denies it, I dont believe him! What the hell is wrong with him? HELP...I AM AT MY WITS END...NEED ADVICE...

jUST SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE....your son has processed all this, in the healthiest manner i might add. If YOU cant do the same, than get your ass to a counselor and learn how to ACCEPT life, on lifes terms.
As far as him disclosing to others before he has sex with them....if he isnt disclosing , he can be locked up in prison. Get a copy of your states HIV disclosure laws and copy it, and present it to him, JUST so he's aware of them*
Most people get suicidal or so depressed they get suicidal.....either way, Be grateful yer son is still alive, give him a good example to follow, and he will.......Good Luck & God Bless*
