I found out about a year ago that i have HPV. fortunately i have one of the two strings of this virus that does not lead to cervical cancer. However, it has been very depressing since there is no cure. I did recieve laser surgery to remove the warts but, it has been so depressing. I know that 25% of women have it but i dont know any of them, so i feel so alone. help.

you are not alone. There are above 60 mil persons who live with HIV.I am maybe positive too.I'm afraid to death. I'm afraid go to a doctor for making tests.i don't know what to do if I'm positive. I don't know what to say. I hope you won't be alone. if God exist he will help you and he exist.Maybe it takes a time to find someone who will be your real friend.

You are not alone! I've had HPV since around age 16. I am in my 30's now. Just make sure to keep up with your pap's and if you need further treatment, get it right away. I've had to have procedures every now and then to get rid of suspicous cells and possible lesions. I just had a scary episode, but they were able to do an in office surgery and results are that they got everything and I should be fine. Need a pap every 4-6 mo. now, but that's ok.
You will do fine as long as you follow the doctors orders. My question to you, have you tested for HIV also? That is so important.
God Bless!
