Just joined it and it appears to have a lot of poz people on it and they appear to keep confidentiality seriously. I like the format of the poz.com better, but wayy less people on it. Thanks for the advice Riverprincess

Your welcome but it was flower that told me about it. I don't know why the dating/relationship catagory here doesn't work. I too like the format , but no one seems to take any action with it here. And my little cyber cupid wings are getting tired of fluttering about with no results. Lots of luck there Vegas. Just remember BE RESPECTFUL !!!! And don't accect anything less than RESPECT !!!!!

That site is way too prejudice. Not only they screen their members (big brother), but NOT even "friends of those with AIDS) are banished from their site... They erase your username AND ban your IP address. I think two old liberal guys run that site. Watch what you say there. Any critiism will get you banned for life. DO NOT GO THERE unless you don't want your privacy respected.

This is why you should always do your due diligence when visiting any site that deals with any personal info. They have no privacy policy (at least none that I could easily find.) they make mention of it in their terms of use, but couldn't find a single link to it. The terms of use also states that they continuously review every account and will delete any account they deem unfit to their numerous, overbearing and somewhat broad standards.
What they do say about their privacy policy is that they follow it, whatever it may be so if they shared any info it might be according to it who knows they don't make it easily available.
People believe online is safe and anonymous so they can post whatever; simply not even close to being the truth. You have to treat it like daily life. If you don't want people to know your positive or what have you don't go online and say you are. IP addresses give tons of information about location and the user. And it's really simple to code and capture ip addresses and track a user. REALLY SIMPLE. The two ways I know of for two programming languages only take about 5 lines of code and that gets me down to what city you're from. Couple more I could find out which PC in your house your sitting at.
That is why you need to pay attention for the privacy policy and terms of use. If they aren't easily found on every single page you open don't use it. And I know it's a bore but you need to read through them to see what they say. Some (like the site in question) only protect the site and not the user.
