Health Insurance?

My brother just found out that he is HIV positive. He is currently a college student and does not have health insurance. Does anyone know if there is a plan available for HIV positive persons? Costs? Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Let him just get it through the college. They do not check for preexisting conditions. Or when he gets a job, they also do not check for preexisting conditions....

Maybe he should try to have his doctor help him to apply for medical assistance through the welfare office. He can also get help with prescriptions by finding the name and number of the laboratory that makes the medicines he is on and he can apply for patient assistance programs. I also agree that he should ask someone at the college. They should have a clinic there.
